Montessori Minds Childcare and Kindergarten (MONTESSORI MINDS PTY LTD) in Norlane (North Geelong), is seeking a full time Room Leader with the right attitude and passion for working with children with at 2-3 years of relevant experience and a minimum of a Diploma qualification or equivalent Early Childhood Education and Care in substantial experience. Salary of $73,200 - $74,000 + super for this full-time position.

Task & Responsibilities

As the Room Leader for Babies room and Toddlers room, you will undergo the following responsibilities and tasks.

Leading, managing, and motivating appointed room staff to achieve the objectives of the Centre and support staff in their development
Develop the Children’s Program (reflecting Early Years Learning Framework guidelines). Write up the program, co-operating with the Children’s needs with staff input.
Making lessons captivating and enjoyable for individuals and small groups of children
Delivering consistent high-quality practice of the National Quality Framework
Ensure that records are maintained accurately for each child in care
Promote positive parent, centre and staff relationships.
Maintain compliance with the OH&S Policy, ensure a safe environment is maintained for children and staff.
Play a central role in creating an engaging and enriching learning environment.
Collaborate with families to understand each child's needs and interests.

Qualification & Experience

Qualifications:

Minimum of Diploma or equivalent Early Childhood Education and Care
Current Working With Children (WWC) Check.
Current First Aid and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates.

Experience Requirement:

At least 2-3 years of experience in highly relevant role required.
Competency in the above tasks and duties.

Essential Skills:

Previous experience as a Room leader in a childcare setting.
Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.
Current First Aid and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates, Current Working with Children's Check.
A passion for delivering quality inclusive childcare.
Flexible and personal approach.
Able to work in a team and lead a team.
Good communication skills.
Great time management and organisation skills.
